Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Support Care Assistant to join our team in Nerang, Queensland. As a Support Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and lead fulfilling lives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Providing companionship and social engagement to promote the wellbeing and independence of our clients
  • Implementing individualised care plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client
  • Reporting any changes in client's condition or needs to the care team
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Collaborating with the wider care team to ensure seamless service delivery

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Relevant experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar care-oriented role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible, adaptable mindset
  • Commitment to upholding the dignity, privacy, and rights of our clients
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
