Job Description

Babcock is seeking an experienced Australian Industry Capability Manager to join its Defence High Frequency Communications Program, based at the Engineering and Technology Hub in Victoria.

The successful candidate will lead the refinement and execution of AIC opportunities in support of acquisition and sustainment plans, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and national policy frameworks.

You'll work closely with government agencies, education providers, and industry partners to promote STEM pathways, support Indigenous participation, and engage with Veteran Affairs to foster inclusive and impactful supply chain outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AIC strategy for a major Defence program and shape outcomes that matter to Australia.
  • Drive refinement and execution of AIC opportunities in support of acquisition and sustainment plans.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, education providers, industry partners, and Veteran Affairs to promote STEM pathways and inclusive supply chain outcomes.
  • Enable domestic suppliers to access global opportunities through Babcock's broader network and support future bid development.

Qualifications

  • Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
  • Understanding of Australian Defence and the Government's sovereign industry capability.
  • Extensive Australian Supply Chain management knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with complex commercial, Government and Defence contracts and procurement processes.
