This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of asset classes and markets, both domestic and offshore. As a Financial Analyst - Liquids, you'll be responsible for managing liquidity requirements, executing repo funding, and ensuring statutory liquidity requirements are met.

You'll work closely with our Senior Portfolio Manager to develop and implement investment strategies that maximize financial performance. Your strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex problems will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liquidity Management: Oversee daily liquidity needs, executing repo funding and ensuring statutory liquidity requirements are met.
  • Investment Execution: Execution of liquid investment strategies and associated hedging activities across various asset classes, including commodities, equities, interest rates, and foreign currencies.
  • Cash and Collateral Management: Manage cash requirements and exchange collateral.
  • Project Support: Contribute to the migration of our portfolio to a new trading system, driving operational efficiencies in the process.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years relevant industry experience, including exposure to fixed income markets, derivatives, and financial risk management.
  • Advanced numeracy, modelling, and analytical abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – ability to work with complex problems and concepts and make decisions based on available information.
  • Strong commercial awareness you'll understand internal and external business drivers and be able to maximise financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification with strong GPA in the fields of Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or similar
