Job Title: Laboratory Technician

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team at Wagners Construction Materials Laboratory division.

This is a great opportunity for a successful individual to expand their knowledge and work with an industry leader in the field of construction materials testing and sampling.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing sampling of concrete and aggregates to recognised and approved methods
  • Performing testing in accordance with Australian Standards and the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads test methods
  • Organising daily field testing
  • Compiling and dispatching records
  • Maintaining accurate data of records for samples and test results
  • Ensuring compliance with project guidelines, procedures and systems through sampling products and testing/calibrations
  • Developing opportunities for improvement and non-conformance reporting requirements

About You

  • Experience and knowledge in construction materials testing and sampling of concrete (essential)
  • Cert III or IV in Laboratory Techniques (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills to communicate/interact with management, customers and personnel
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Ability to prioritise work and work under pressure
  • Current Manual Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Construction card (essential)
