Research Scientist

Laboratory Technician Position

Wagners Construction Materials Laboratory is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to support our growing team at Wellcamp QLD.

This opportunity will allow a successful individual to expand their knowledge and work with an industry leader in the construction materials field.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sampling of concrete and aggregates to recognised and approved methods
• Conduct testing in accordance with Australian Standards and Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads test methods
• Organise daily field testing
• Compile and dispatch records
• Maintain accurate data of records for samples and test results
• Ensure compliance with project guidelines, procedures, and systems through sampling products and testing/calibrations
• Identify opportunities for improvement and non-conformance reporting requirements

About the Role

• Essential experience and knowledge in construction materials testing and sampling of concrete
• Desirable Cert III or IV in Laboratory Techniques
• Strong communication skills to interact with management, customers, and personnel
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Ability to prioritise work and work under pressure
• Current Manual Driver's Licence and Construction card
