Project Leadership Role

Purpose of the position:

  • Direct technology projects in the insurance industry, integrating project management and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery of solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Align with business goals and lead to successful delivery.
  • Delivery Oversight: Ensure projects adhere to timelines and quality standards.
  • Obstacle Removal: Address and resolve issues hindering team progress and project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders for clear communication and alignment.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate resources for optimal productivity and meeting project milestones.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality software delivery meeting industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements through feedback, retrospectives, and metrics.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Track project metrics and KPIs, provide status updates, and use data for decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally in insurance or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of delivery methodologies (for example Scrum, Kanban) and transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of technology delivery processes, including SDLC, DevOps, and release management.
  • PMP, CSM, or similar certifications preferred.
