This is a unique opportunity for an experienced lawyer to contribute to ASIC's enforcement strategy, working on a range of specialist legal and regulatory projects and policy initiatives. The role involves providing advice, guidance and assistance in the specialist area of Investment Management or Financial Advisors.

About the Role

As a lawyer in this position, you will be responsible for supporting senior specialists and executive leaders to drive enforcement outcomes. You will also assist in project management, undertaking technical analysis of relevant legal and regulatory material, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Supporting senior specialists and executive leaders to provide technical and strategic leadership and advice;
  • Assisting in the project management and coordination of multiple initiatives related to enforcement activities;
  • Undertaking technical analysis of relevant legal and regulatory material;
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders.


What You Will Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need to have relevant tertiary legal qualifications, experience undertaking legal research and policy work, and an understanding of the law and practice relating to the Corporations Act and other relevant financial services legislation. You should also have excellent writing and drafting skills, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
