Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Mentor a Team: Foster skill development and knowledge transfer among a team of six professionals.
  • Generate Sales and Revenue Reports: Create accurate and timely sales and revenue performance reports that inform business decisions.
  • Oversee Sales Budgets: Ensure alignment with business goals by managing sales budgets and tracking incentives and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Data Teams: Develop and implement advanced reporting solutions that drive business growth.
  • Manage Agency Revenue Tracking: Provide insights into performance and opportunities for growth.
  • Establish Strong Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and co-author strategies with the data team.
  • Present Insights and Strategies: Present complex data insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive Customer-Focused Approach: Deliver meaningful and usable reporting solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Ensure Data Governance: Minimise risk across reporting processes by ensuring adherence to data governance principles.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, with a focus on delegation and team management.
  • Industry Experience: Have experience in a sales-focused data or analytics role within the media, agency, broadcast, or publishing industry.
  • Media Trading Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of the media trading landscape in Australia, particularly within metro TV or BVOD.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Be able to conceptualise and think critically through large data sets, understanding the flow of data from source systems.
  • Communication Skills: Have strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • CRM Experience: Be comfortable with Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems, and familiar with sales planning processes.
  • Team Culture: Be able to set a positive team culture, focusing on skill development and high performance.
  • Sales Data Strategies: Have experience in managing and developing sales data strategies, with a focus on operational efficiency and insight generation.
  • Data Governance: Be comfortable with data models, media sales workflows, and risk-aversion in data governance.
