Transport Operations Supervisor Opportunity

Located in Melbourne's North-West suburbs, our client is a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Transport Operations Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an environment that encourages ongoing development and growth.

The Opportunity

As the Transport Operations Supervisor, some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily operations to achieve planned KPIs, cost outcomes, safety measures, and service levels
  • Conducting quality checks on materials and stock, identifying and reporting damages, shortages, or quality deficiencies
  • Fostering a culture that takes pride in performance, delivery, and work environment, and continually seeks improvement
  • Collaborating with Truck Drivers and Operations Support areas to ensure smooth operation of the shift
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure high standards of service delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with OH&S requirements and maintaining a clean and organised working environment
  • Managing inventory and activity logs, and ensuring efficient, safe, and secure loading, unloading, movement, and packing of merchandise/materials/stock
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar position
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A problem-solving mentality and analytical nature
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions promptly
  • A team player who values supporting all parts of the business
  • Knowledge and experience with CoR regulations and compliance relating to the transport industry
  • Knowledge of FMCG transport operations
  • Forklift License (desirable)
