Animal Care Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As an Animal Care Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional customer service.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for assisting veterinarians with consultations, surgeries, and medical procedures, providing compassionate care and monitoring for hospitalized pets, administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by veterinarians, performing diagnostic tests, including blood work and radiography, maintaining accurate patient records and managing client communications, educating pet owners on preventive care and post-treatment instructions, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment for pets and staff, and participating in inventory management and ordering of supplies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient and client care
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
