About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demi Chef to join our team at The Star Gold Coast. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the leadership team in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring consistency in our food products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality and consistency of all food leaving the kitchen, adhering to our high standards and food safety guidelines.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the Commis' and Apprentice Chefs in the brigade, providing guidance and support to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Chef Experience: Proven experience working in a 5-star environment or large restaurant, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and management.
  • Work Rights: Possess full work rights and be available to work a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Quality Focus: Demonstrate a passion for quality and consistency, with a keen desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Quality Control: Previous experience with quality control in production and preservation, with a strong understanding of food safety guidelines.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
