As a senior corporate tax leader at Equity Trustees Ltd, you will play a key role in shaping the company's tax function and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations while optimising tax efficiency.

**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, including income tax, GST, and FBT. You will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, including income tax, GST, and FBT
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies while ensuring compliance with applicable laws
  • Provide tax advisory services on strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and business restructures
  • Manage tax risk, including liaising with the ATO and overseeing tax audits or disputes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure best practices in tax management

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CA and/or CPA qualification, with significant post-qualified experience
  • Experience in business services (ideally as a manager) in tax, looking to transition into an industry role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and corporate tax frameworks
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide data-driven tax recommendations
  • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging effectively at all levels
