About Central Operations
Coles Group's Central Operations team is the backbone of our business, ensuring that our stores and distribution centers run smoothly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be part of this dynamic team, supporting and empowering our retail teams across the country to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supply chains between stores, suppliers, and distribution centers to improve the supply of consumables to all 850 stores nationally.
- Partner with merchandising teams to resolve delivery-in-full-on-time (DIFOT) issues and improve supplier management.
- Develop strong relationships with key suppliers at all levels to drive end-to-end supply chain synchronization and enhance service, cost, and cash targets for Coles and its trading partners.
- Leverage Lean ways of working to create a culture of continuous improvement and drive out losses throughout the value chain.
- Lead transformational projects to deliver the best customer experience.
About You
You will bring your ability to interpret data, manage change, identify trends, and confidently communicate them to influence decisions. With developed leadership and stakeholder management skills, you will have the ability to have genuine impact and see projects through to tangible outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven people leadership experience in supply chain, ideally within a retail or FMCG environment.
- Demonstrated experience of strong commercial understanding.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and cost drivers.
- Proven understanding of retail replenishment systems and factors that affect store availability.
- Developed data analysis and insight generation skills, with advanced MS Excel skills.
- Demonstrated project delivery experience is desired.
