The project is the next generation of the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, providing dispatchable, on-demand renewable power and approximately megawatt-hours of large-scale energy storage to the National Electricity Market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure implementation of quality systems according to contractual requirements.
  • Implement a continuous improvement system to initiate and maintain Root Cause Analysis and lessons learned.
  • Closely cooperate and coordinate all quality activities with site supervisors and contractors.
  • Work with installation teams to ensure safe completion of work, adhering to quality standards, customer requirements, schedule.
  • Ensure QA/QC inspections and tests are performed according to the quality plan, participating in inspections and coordinating tests by service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, inspection results, and corrective actions taken.
  • Qualify welders and inspectors, and maintain related documentation.
  • Participate in site nonconformance and technical change requests, drive and track completion of QA corrective actions efficiently.
  • Complete data books, control, and archive site quality documentation.
  • Ensure calibration of measurement tools and track compliance.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Quality or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ability to drive project success with a focus on safety, quality, schedule.
  • Previous demonstrated experience in quality for large hydro power projects or similar industries.
  • Proficient technical and operational knowledge of QA/QC systems aligned with ISO:9001.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer- and people-oriented approach.
  • Proactive mindset in anticipating challenges and delivering problem-solving solutions.
  • Fully computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge desirable.
