About the Role

The Research Officer will provide specialist scientific contribution to a range of scientific research and support services, under the professional direction of the Laboratory Head and Cancer Immunotherapy Group Leader in the Translational Oncology Laboratory at the Centre for Cancer Biology, Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting laboratory-based research and contributing to professional research planning functions
  • Sourcing, analyzing, and reporting on research data and information
  • Maintaining and expanding existing research networks, information-sharing, and building research capacity within the group
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) or other Bachelor's degree covering fields relevant to the area of research
  • Expert knowledge of immunology and tumour biology
  • Proven experience in high-parameter flow cytometry, microscopy, cell culture, and processing of human or mouse biological specimens, and animal tumour models
  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description
Desirable Criteria
  • A Masters or PhD degree for research in a relevant field
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques including viral vectors
