About this Role
The Bookkeeper is a critical member of the finance team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general financial administration.
This role plays a key part in maintaining financial data integrity, compliance with statutory obligations, and assisting the finance team during month-end and year-end processes.
- Process monthly end-to-end payroll including new hires, terminations, leave, superannuation, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
- Ensure payroll compliance with awards, legislation, tax (PAYG), super, and respond to employee queries
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience with proficiency in payroll and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and payroll legislation
- High attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
