Job Summary

As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing key wellbeing policies and programs, leading the development and implementation of student management policies and processes, and overseeing the planning and implementation of collective staff professional development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Wellbeing
    • Oversee and review key wellbeing policies and programs, including the Student Engagement & Wellbeing policy, Child Safe Policies and Mandatory Reporting processes.
    • Lead the development and implementation of the college student management policy and processes.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of the Buckley Park College Attendance Strategy.
  • Staff Development
    • Oversee the planning and implementation of collective staff professional development programs.
    • Lead the Staff Induction Program and Preservice Teachers.
    • Manage the process and supports for VIT Full Registration.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Chair the college Student Wellbeing and Engagement Leaders Executive.
    • Actively engage and action relevant DET and Regional initiatives.
    • Lead the College's Wellbeing Team to develop and implement a consistent Tier 1, 2 and 3 approach to Student Management/Wellbeing across the college.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Regularly participate in Learning Walks with Leadership team members to monitor the consistent implementation of processes.
    • Lead the strategic direction of improvement with a sub school.
    • Provide support to the Leadership Team to ensure every student can reach their personal learning excellence.
Requirements
  • Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
  • Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement Department policies to a high level.
  • An understanding of, and a commitment to, the use of learning technologies to improve teaching and learning.
