Sport and Recreation plays a crucial role in enhancing participation and success in sport and active recreation across Queensland. Our department delivers grant funding, infrastructure, and participation programs to support the growth of sport and active recreation.

**Our Focus:** Activate Queensland 2019-2029 is a 10-year strategy that aims to enrich the Queensland way of life by harnessing its sporting traditions, embracing its natural environment, and building on community foundations. This initiative seeks to improve health and wellbeing outcomes, especially for vulnerable individuals.

We are part of the Infrastructure and Precincts team, responsible for delivering precincts and venues that cater to diverse needs. Our services include tailored products and stakeholder engagement, ensuring high-quality experiences for Queenslanders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for safe and professional service delivery and operations at our venues.
  • Deliver key strategic projects, monitor performance, and report on outcomes across Precincts and Venues.
  • Coordinate capital works, business development, planning, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.

To Be Eligible:

  • Citizenship/Visa Requirements: Must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status or a visa permitting work in Australia.
  • Licences: Current driver's licence required for travel to various locations.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card): Valid Blue Card is essential for working with children and young people.
