Job Description

  • Project Leadership
    • Oversee the construction phase of the tram project from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets and quality standards.
    • Develop and implement construction strategies, plans, and schedules to optimize project outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, standards, and regulations, maintaining the highest level of quality workmanship.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and address any construction issues or defects promptly.
  • Safety and Risk Management
    • Implement and enforce comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
    • Conduct safety meetings and provide training on safety protocols to ensure a culture of safety within the project team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and local authorities, providing regular updates on project status and milestones.
    • Foster effective communication between all parties involved in the project, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess a civil works-related university degree (BSc or MSc) and a minimum of 20 years of experience in managing design and construction of transportation projects, with at least one tram project completed in an urban environment.
