Job Title: Construction Specialist

Redpath Partners is seeking a highly experienced Construction Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing major construction projects and providing expert advice and support to team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, consultants, and colleagues to monitor all aspects of construction, including program, design, specifications, risk management, and budget.
  • Develop innovative solutions for delivering construction projects.
  • Manage documentation for capital building projects and liaise with external consultants and contractors.
  • Engage with local councils and communities to foster productive relationships.
  • Contribute to strategies that enhance shared responsibilities within the organization.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of new assets for ongoing maintenance with the Asset Maintenance team.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and recommend improvements based on lessons learned.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on all project aspects in construction.
Requirements:
  • Minimum ten years of experience in a Senior site-based management role and ten years as a Site Manager on projects up to $100 million.
  • Proven ability to initiate, coordinate, and deliver large, complex capital projects.
  • Experience in leading site teams in dynamic project environments.
  • Expertise in assessing and providing technical advice on construction, safety, and quality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Aconex).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant construction legislative requirements.
  • Commitment to uphold the ethos and values of the organization.
Desirable:
  • Qualifications or experience in project management.
  • Senior Site management experience in education projects.
  • Builder's License.
  • Knowledge of contemporary educational facilities design and its connection to pedagogy.
