Job Description

The Academic Leader, Human Services will provide academic leadership and direction to the School of Human Services. The role will be responsible for the delivery of courses within a discipline, while supporting the institution's vision, goals, and objectives.

Key responsibilities include managing course operations and delivery, providing high-quality teaching, leading the development of industry-relevant strategies to promote student employability, overseeing continuous improvement processes, and monitoring student achievement.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

PhD in a discipline or field currently being taught in the School is required. Experience in management, leading change and innovation within a higher education environment, knowledge of contemporary developments in the discipline or field, and current or recent practicing experience within the discipline or field are also essential.

Skills in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment principles specific to the discipline or field, experience in developing, leading, and managing high-performance teams, and experience in course development and accreditation are highly desirable.
