Job Title: Embedded Linux Field Engineer

Work Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Embedded Linux Field Engineer to enhance our presence in mission-critical sectors, including Automotive, Medical Devices, Industrial Systems, Robotics, and Telco, as well as Consumer Electronics.

  • Adept at Linux development with a passion for the operating system
  • Proficient in distribution packaging, software design, system debugging, and bringing customer ideas to life

The server edition of Ubuntu is already widely used in connected devices and industrial PCs. Our tailored version of Ubuntu for IoT, called Ubuntu Core, represents the pinnacle of security and resilience for high-end appliances and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology solutions
  • Develop comprehensive proposals to be presented to prospective clients
  • Participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux systems
  • Convey market demands to key stakeholders within our organization, and sometimes participate in the development or refinement of generic solutions to unlock market potential

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with extensive experience in Linux - Debian or Ubuntu preferred. Distribution / Packaging expertise (deb, rpm, ...) and Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot...) required. Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Result-oriented, ability to multi-task. A personal drive to meet commitments. An humble learner and quick study.
