Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $95,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This salary includes at least 7% above the award rate, up to 50% discount off childcare gap fees, and up to 6 weeks paid parental leave.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Director of Education and Operations to lead our Carrum Downs Arcadia Street center. As Assistant Director, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your center team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of center operations. You will collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Center Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
  • Mentor and build capabilities within the center team
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the center in the Center Director's absence
  • Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma or bachelor's in early childhood education
  • A current Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one
  • Experience with leading and managing change within education, health, or community services
  • Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage
  • Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
