Senior Compliance Officer

This is a permanent full-time role in the Development and Compliance team, based at Moruya.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of professional service to the community with respect to planning, development and building matters.
Main Responsibilities:- Carry out assessments of buildings, swimming pools and other structures in accordance with legislation and policy.
- Ensure developments comply with their approval documents.
- Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or Urban Planning, Bachelor of Applied Science (Environment Health) or equivalent experience.
- High-level competencies specific to the work being performed and knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
- Ability to interpret and convey information in a clear and accurate manner.
- Computer literacy with expertise in MS office and GIS Mapping.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and address the advertised selection criteria demonstrating their suitability for the role. The position requires an original Government issued photo ID for verification purposes.
