Mental health is fundamental to a student's success and well-being. Our comprehensive approach to student wellbeing includes prevention, early intervention, and response to mental health issues. Our team works closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide a holistic and student-centred approach to wellbeing.
The RoleThis is a pivotal position that requires addressing the psychological needs of our students. As a Psychologist, you will play a key role in implementing a whole-school approach to student wellbeing that builds resilience and connectedness.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working collaboratively as a member of our wellbeing team to implement proactive and preventative programs
- Providing and maintaining student wellbeing service delivery including counselling and assisting with staff professional development relating to student wellbeing
- Conducting individual case management using a systems approach and referring on to outside providers as necessary
- Attending parent/teacher meetings and pastoral care meetings as required
- Facilitating programs accessible to the broader school community
- Working collaboratively in the assessment of students and submissions for funding and special provisions
- Working with parents, teachers and external professionals to implement learning recommendations.
