We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapeutic Specialist to join our team at MacKillop Family Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people who have experienced trauma and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement therapeutic strategies and plans for each individual young person, working collaboratively with our team to achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to our staff in implementing therapeutic strategies, ensuring a high level of care and understanding.
- Collaborate with our team of experts to develop and deliver culturally sensitive and effective care for young people in residential care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote a safe and supportive environment for young people.
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- Post Graduate training in relevant child, adolescent, and family clinical practice, family work, and systemic thinking.
- Thorough understanding of the impact of trauma, disrupted attachment, and abuse/neglect on a child or young person's development and wellbeing.
- Substantial experience in working therapeutically with young people and demonstrated capacity to persevere to achieve positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated a thorough understanding of Aboriginal and CALD cultures to provide culturally sensitive and effective care for young people in residential care.
- Valid and current Driver's License, Satisfactory Criminal History Check, Valid Employee Working with Children Check, and Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check.
