IT Network Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to manage our computer systems and networks on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake systems design, program design and specification, and direct programming changes necessary to enhance, modify or maintain a computer system.
  • Evaluate and report on the operational efficiency of computer systems in production, making recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
  • Examine and report on the efficiency and effectiveness of hardware configurations, software operating systems, data transmission networks, and generalised software packages.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for computer systems users.
  • Modify and adapt accepted methods and guidelines and interpret and analyse complex data across several sub-disciplines.
  • Develop techniques and procedures that will affect work practices beyond the workplace.
  • Manage a technical program with a broad scope.
Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated managing of DET policies, procedures, and compliance requirements relating to Information Technology in Schools.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide training or support for staff, improving their capacity to fully utilise technologies within learning programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, report outcomes to leadership, liaise with staff, and establish relationships and network with relevant providers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of school-related platforms, including familiarity with setting up ITO devices.
  • Demonstrated capacity to problem solve and show initiative.
  • A commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.
