The role of an ambulance transport attendant involves performing patient assessment and intervention on-road, providing high-quality patient care and treatment during transport, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders, and assessing the effectiveness of any intervention in accordance with RFDS guidelines and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), or Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), or other equivalent qualification recognized by RFDS
  • Evidence of successful completion of required clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment
  • Hold a FULL Victorian Drivers licence and have the ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions
