Responsibilities
  • Provide active support to young people, staff members and placements between 11:30pm-8:30am.
  • Provide a safe environment, travel assistance and support, complete administration tasks, manage crisis situations calmly and confidently, and maintain a clean and tidy home.
  • Build positive relationships with young people and team members; follow routines; transport to school, day programs and appointments; participate in activities and meals; implement programs for growth and development; complete summary notes; help create a safe, homely living environment.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Current Working with Children Check (paid employment)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; HLTAID003)
  • National Police Check (via Employment Screening Group)
  • International Police Check if applicable (12 months+ in another country within last 10 years)
  • Current driver's licence
  • Willingness to participate in Worker/Carer Exclusion Scheme Check
  • Current NDIS Worker Check (via Vic service site)
Mandatory qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention; or a recognised relevant qualification
  • Three mandatory units of competency: CHCMHS007; CHCPRT009; CHCCCS009
  • Allambi Care can facilitate obtaining the units within the first 3 months via partnered RTO BIAE (RTO no 45241)
