About the Role:

As a Food Services Assistant at Uniting AgeWell Strathglen, you will play a crucial role in delivering food services that align with our planned menu and adhere to the Food Safety Program, catering to the individual needs and wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to uphold daily and periodic cleaning protocols for food preparation and service areas
  • Serve meals to residents in dining areas and through room service, including washing dishes, preparing sandwiches, and offering beverages
  • Gather feedback on residents' preferences for menu planning and communicate any observations or concerns regarding their conditions
  • Engage in quality improvement activities and deliver exceptional customer service while fostering friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with residents and their families
  • Assist colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise

About You:

This position is ideal for you if you:

  • Possess experience in food service, preferably within health, hospitality, or aged care environments
  • Are available to work either 7am-3pm or 3.30pm-7.30pm as required
  • Can thrive in a fast-paced team setting
  • Have a strong background in customer service and deliver high standards of service
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently

Requirements for Working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children Check card / Vulnerable People card
