Located in Sydney, we are seeking a Senior Treasury Business Manager to join our team at Westpac Group.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced individual to lead our Change and Models Team within Group Treasury. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our business, which has been around for over 200 years.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide business SME (Subject Matter Expert) support for all technical and non-technical changes to our Liquidity Model. This includes acting as a conduit between policy advisers and technical implementors, supporting model risk reviews, and advising product owners on technical liquidity considerations.

You will also be responsible for configuring change within our newly created business rule engine application and supporting our Treasury Technology Team by providing business requirements for items of change, including acceptance criteria and end-to-end validation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in liquidity risk management and/or Group Treasury;
  • The ability to work autonomously and navigate ambiguity;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract micro issues and translate them into big-picture impacts for senior management;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes with stakeholders;
  • Technical skills, including SQL, which is considered advantageous.
