Electrical Foreman Job Summary

This electrical foreman role is a key position in our organization that requires leadership and technical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance and ensuring the effective transfer of knowledge to national electrical personnel.

The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience as an underground electrician and 5 years of experience as an underground electrical supervisor. They should also possess sound knowledge of Australian standards relevant to underground mining electrical systems and a solid understanding of WHS requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support site leadership teams in implementing safety systems and initiatives to improve safety performance.
  • Review working areas and ensure compliance with all relevant acts and regulations, policies, procedures, work instructions, and standards.
  • Ensure visual leadership interactions are undertaken and support site electrical teams with planning.
  • Liaise with site project management and electrical manager for non-compliance and/or safety issues relating to site electrical concerns.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to site team members.
Requirements:
  • Educational trade certificate
  • Unrestricted electrical license
  • Electrical nominee qualifications
  • High voltage operations certificate
  • First aid qualifications

A full pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing and site-specific clearances is required. Additionally, a national police clearance and necessary tickets or qualifications must be presented at the time of interview.
