Job Title

A Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a key role in helping customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments on AWS.

As a TAM at Amazon Web Services, you will be a valued member of the Enterprise Support team who leads our customers to build and run their applications on the AWS platform. You'll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.

You'll work closely with customers to understand their business needs and technical challenges, providing expert guidance and advocating for them within AWS. This includes ensuring their AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.

Your primary goal is to develop trusting relationships with customers, drive technical discussions, and find opportunities for them to gain additional value from AWS. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders, including Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.

">Responsibilities
  1. Build solutions and provide technical guidance to customers.
  2. Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
  3. Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
  4. Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
  5. Consult with partners from developers through to C-suite executives.
  6. Collaborate with AWS teams to find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for two or more of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, or applications development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environments as a technical lead.
  • Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies.
  • Understanding of technology budget management.
  • Background working with Public Sector customers.
