Our team works closely with people to identify their goals, develop skills, and support them through interviews and into employment. Allied Health Professionals play a vital role in assisting job seekers who face complex barriers to employment.

The roles of an Allied Health Professional are diverse and offer opportunities to conduct assessments, undertake therapeutic interventions, facilitate groups, and provide recommendations to vocational services.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for candidates with disabilities and barriers to employment;
  • Provide counselling interventions using various methodologies, including psychology and therapy;
  • Refer candidates to external services to address barriers to employment;
  • Evaluate assessments and monitor progress;
  • Coordinate with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates;
  • Develop training programs and guidance for staff on mental health services and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Counselling, with eligibility for registration with APHRA or ACA/PACFA;
  • Experience in employment services is highly regarded but not essential;
  • Knowledge of assessment and intervention strategies;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to produce accurate and articulate reports;
  • Ability to work towards positive outcomes;
  • Ability to obtain a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and a Working with Children Check.
