Job Description

Our organization is dedicated to developing innovative solutions that drive Defence transformation in Australia.

We are seeking a Messaging Technician to support the development and implementation of Messaging infrastructure for the Fleet Information Environment (FIE) Modernisation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following activities:

  • Developing, building, and implementing Messaging infrastructure to complex ICT systems.
  • Completing and reviewing associated Messaging network documentation.
  • Creating and maintaining Messaging network reference architectures to support solutions development.
  • Providing expert advice to stakeholders on Messaging network design and implementation.
  • Identifying innovations and improvements to Messaging infrastructure that provide additional value.
  • Analysing, logging, tracking, and resolving complex issues pertaining to Messaging infrastructure.
  • Creating and peer reviewing Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs), build guides, and related artefacts.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Defence as a Messaging Technician and possess strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. They will also have demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Messaging Infrastructure across distributed environments.

This opportunity is based in Canberra or Sydney, and the successful candidate will need to have a Defence industry background, ideally experienced in the Maritime domain. If you have the expertise to support Defence operations, we encourage you to apply.
