Job Role Overview

Siemens Mobility offers an exciting opportunity to join their transport solutions team as a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about innovative technologies and willing to learn and grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise between Product Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams
  • Develop knowledge of processes, tools, and systems used by these departments
  • Configure products according to customer requirements or product change requests
  • Document critical manufacturing processes and implement Standard Operating Procedures
  • Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams for design-to-manufacturing suitability
  • Assist Sales and customers in expediting products while documenting changes
  • Implement LEAN manufacturing principles to enhance productivity
  • Review designs for manufacturability and maintenance perspectives
  • Create Manufacturing Bills of Materials in ERP systems
Essential Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of AS1100 is essential
  • Experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal, machining, threads, and welding
  • Proficiency in 3D experience
  • Apply engineering first principles such as stress analysis and materials analysis
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial, SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
