About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Catering Assistant to join our team at Lewisham Nursing Home.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Service: Provide high-quality meal service to residents, including assisting with meal preparation, plating, and presentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Support your peers in maintaining a cooperative team spirit, ensuring seamless food service delivery.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues, and residents, adhering to all food safety policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, with a positive attitude and empathy for residents.
  • Certifications: Hold a Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent, though not essential.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate warm and empathetic interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with diverse individuals.
  • Clearances: Possess NDIS and Police check clearance, or willingness to obtain.
