An exciting opportunity exists to join our team as a data analyst for the sports industry. As part of this internship, you will gain hands-on experience and develop skills in collecting, reviewing, and analyzing real-life data.

Working closely with our analysts, you will be immersed in the world of sports data and learn how to interpret trends and patterns that inform commercial and business strategy.

The role involves using internal apps and software to collect and store data required by analysts, collection and cleaning of sports match data to explain audience trends and brand exposure patterns, analysis and insights to understand camerawork and drivers of brand exposure during sports broadcasts, and analysis and summary of trends in Futures sports fan surveys.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You should also be passionate about data, sport, and the business of Sport and Entertainment.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $60,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards. Please note that all our internship places are non-paid positions and must be undertaken as a requirement of an education or training course.

  • You are currently enrolled in an Australian tertiary course that requires you to undertake an internship/placement (arranged by the educational institution or the students' own initiative) in line with the requirements of your course.
  • You have a strong academic record in a business degree, i.e. distinction average or above.
