As a Private Client Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients on a range of private client law matters, including Wills, Inheritance Tax planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Court of Protection, and Deputyships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take client instructions and advise on the law and legal issues relating to their case
  • Draft documents and letters tailored to the client's individual needs
  • Negotiate with clients and other professionals to secure agreed objectives
  • Supervise the implementation of agreements and coordinate the work of all parties involved
  • Supervise and delegate work to trainee solicitors and assistants as appropriate
  • Check all documentation prior to signing and implementing
  • Keep up to date with changes and developments in the law and undertake continuing professional development (CPD)
Requirements
  • Preferably experience of working in all areas of Private Client Law
  • Flexibility and ability to manage a busy caseload
  • A team player who can adapt priorities to meet tight deadlines
  • Drive and enthusiasm for the private client sector
  • Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills
  • A knowledge of the SOS document management system would be an advantage
