About the Role:

We are seeking an ambitious Private Client Solicitor to join our team in the Launceston Office of our client, a well-respected regional law firm with a passion for business and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high-quality, effective, and efficient legal service to clients, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
  • Seek support and advice from other members of the team whenever necessary.
  • Have expertise and experience in the area of private client law, including all aspects of Probate and Power of Attorney matters.
  • Be aware of current issues and updates in the field.
  • Work effectively within a team, with task assignment amongst the team to ensure the matter is undertaken in the most cost-effective manner possible.
  • Promote the firm and develop personal connections, marketing the services of the department internally and externally.
  • Be professional, organized, competent, enthusiastic, and ambitious.
  • Develop knowledge and skills, and improve ability, by working with other fee earners and seeking advice and assistance whenever needed.
  • Ensure that all courses booked are attended, including any management courses provided to develop personal skills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years PQE or to have carried a full caseload for a minimum of 3 years.
  • ACTAPS and/or STEP membership welcomed but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and possess the willingness to promote the firm and develop personal connections.
  • IT literacy and ability to use a case management system.
  • Access to own transport for work use for the purposes of home visits and inter-office travel on occasion.
