Inventory Manager

As a Store Inventory Manager at Kmart, you will be responsible for leading a team to provide a productive, clean, and safe inventory sequence throughout the store. This includes managing the inventory cycle, forecasting, planning, and prioritizing daily work and resource requirements. You will also be responsible for implementing strategies to reduce shrinkage and expenses, overseeing safe and efficient inventory management practices, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing team
- Manage the inventory cycle, including receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise
- Forecast and plan daily work and resource requirements to ensure efficient operations
- Implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and expenses, and improve inventory management practices
- Oversee safe and efficient inventory management practices, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Enhance the overall customer experience by providing excellent service and ensuring a positive shopping environment
- Prior experience in a big box or high-volume retail environment
- Passion for delivering results and motivating a team
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with team members, peers, customers, leaders, and business stakeholders
- Retail administration experience, including rostering, stock management, and strategic planning
- Safety leadership experience, with a proven track record of driving and championing safety initiatives in a high-volume environment
