About the Role

This temporary full-time opportunity is based in Warragul, with work undertaken across the West Gippsland region. The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced maintenance person who has the capacity to participate in regular, physically demanding work.

A National Police Check and Working with Children's Check (employee) are mandatory requirements of this role. The role is a temporary full-time opportunity for the next 8-12 weeks, starting immediately. Hours are 7am-5pm Monday-Thursday, with a generous hourly rate on offer relative to candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate plant and equipment.
  • Ensure the daily maintenance of plant and equipment, including pre-start checklists.
  • Ensure all tasks undertaken are carried out in accordance with OH&S standards.
  • Ensure appropriate work records are kept and maintained.
  • Perform all other duties as directed.
  • Assist the drainage & maintenance teams as required.
Requirements
  • Current Victorian Driver's license with a Medium Rigid endorsement.
  • Current WWCC or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Police Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in drainage/maintenance.
  • Carpentry skills (desirable but not essential).
  • Skid steer & excavator tickets (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working within a team, as a team player.
  • Plant/machinery operations as required within the horticultural industry.
  • Relevant knowledge of OH&S systems and procedures.
  • Demonstrated customer service focus.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
