About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Civil Engineer, Drainage to join our Newcastle Drainage Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of drainage design on major Transport/Land/Water infrastructure projects across NSW/ACT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of drainage design on major projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Optimize design workflows to drive a coordinated and efficient digital delivery approach.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address technical queries and drive an optimum engineering solution.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers, promoting technical skills and teamwork culture.
  • Act as a leader that adds to the diversity of thought, skills, and experience of the group.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with 12D, DRAINS, and MUSIC software.
  • Deep hydrology and hydraulic technical knowledge.
  • Technical excellence in delivery and well-honed experience in WSUD.
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion and drive to supervise and mentor emerging team members.
  • Chartered member of Engineers Australia or close to being eligible to apply for chartership.
