About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Joint Strike Fighter F35 team within the Aerospace organization based in Williamtown, NSW. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting avionic systems and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and inspect avionic systems and components to ensure compliance with regulatory and airworthiness requirements
  • Perform fault diagnosis and repair of avionic systems and components
  • Ensure maintenance performance meets all regulatory and airworthiness requirements
  • Carry out scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance as delegated by the Team Leader
  • Record details of work performed on the correct documents and obtain certification of the performance of such work in the required timeframes
  • Report defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors, and unserviceability's to the Team Leader
  • Initiate quality, non-conformance, or defect reporting relating to maintenance tasks

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Avionics or equivalent
  • Australian Citizen with ability to obtain a Federal Government Security Clearance
  • Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Aircraft
  • Military or Civil Aviation Maintenance Licence (Highly Desirable)
  • Understanding of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations, process, and procedures (Highly Desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced and strong team environment
