- Monitor Patient Vitals and Report Adverse Reactions: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and report any adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
- Provide Patient Education and Support: Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care, promoting a smooth recovery process.
- Lead Quality Improvement Projects: Collaborate with the healthcare team to lead successful quality improvement and safety management projects, driving desired outcomes and enhancing patient care.
- Discharge Planning and Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective discharge plans, ensuring a seamless transition for patients.
- Safe Practice and Role Modeling: Act as a role model for safe practice, promoting a culture of excellence and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
HealthcareLink Support is a private hospital service in the Northern Territory, providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery services. Our hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote Aboriginal communities, and even offshore.
About You- AHPRA Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is essential.
- Experience and Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years' experience in surgical/acute medical and rehabilitation settings, with demonstrated professional development and a commitment to quality patient care.
- Initiative and Teamwork: Proven ability to show initiative and work effectively within a team environment, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Clinical Decision Making and Problem Solving: Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well independently and within a team.
