The Job

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our national Positive Behaviour Support Team.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide community, clinic, and telehealth-based services to NDIS participants.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with participants and key stakeholders
  • Conducting thorough Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) to inform Behaviour Support Plans
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans that address individual needs and goals
  • Providing training and education to stakeholders on behaviour support strategies and techniques
  • Maintaining accurate records of progress and adjusting plans as needed in accordance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission guidelines

What We're Looking For

  • Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Significant experience conducting FBA's, writing Behaviour Support Plans, and working with Restrictive Practices
  • Preferably 3+ years of experience working in behaviour support
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching, or Social Sciences
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
  • Supervisory or coaching experience, with a willingness to develop clinical leadership skills
  • NDISWC/WWCC registration or a willingness to apply
  • Current Australian driver's license and ability to travel with own vehicle
