We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Hays Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of our mining systems technology.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement asset strategies to optimize system performance and integrity.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineering, and other functions to drive improvement initiatives and support business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze key system metrics, including MTBF and MTTR, and conduct root cause analysis of failures.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying causes of loss and eliminating waste.
- Facilitate root cause analysis of chronic equipment failure and assess newly installed equipment for maintainability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM support and operational teams.
- Provide governance and standardization of mining systems technology and input into the design, installation, commissioning, and validation of mining systems.
- Guide project teams as the Service Owner/SME for Mining Systems-related matters.
- Trade Qualification in Technology (e.g., electronics, communication systems).
- Strong working experience with Technology equipment in the Mining Industry (Mobile Radio systems, Mobile network experience (WIFI), Fleet management, Distraction management, Proximity awareness).
- Experience facilitating RCA (Root Cause Analysis) workshops.
- Understanding of risk assessment and change management.
- Ability to collaborate, influence, and work with site-based operational teams.
