Job Title: Clinical Operations and Supervision Lead

Alfred Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Operations and Supervision Lead to join our Social Work Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision and guidance to senior social workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and patient-centered care.

About the Role:

  • Provide clinical supervision to senior social work staff, adhering to discipline and AASW guidelines.
  • Mentor grade 2 social work staff in supervision skills.
  • Support the manager and deputy manager in providing extra training and support for staff requiring specialized supervision skills.
  • Participate in supervision for senior staff members and engage in professional development, work planning, and annual discussions.
  • Actively engage in professional development plans and model a commitment to learning.
  • Support senior staff in performance management discussions.
  • Collaborate with the grade 4 complex care lead to coordinate support and supervision for staff managing complex cases involving risk.
  • Review documentation of supervisory sessions across the organization.
  • Develop a coordinated system for electronic storage of supervision notes and records.
  • Manage staff leave, payroll, and recruitment processes in consultation with other senior staff.
  • Participate in internal and external continuing education.
  • Provide leadership for the National Quality Health Standards portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Extensive experience in staff and student supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and with families, exhibiting initiative and facilitative qualities.
  • Knowledge of hospital discharge planning processes and working within an electronic medical record.
  • Victorian driver's license required for cross-campus travel.
