Civil Construction Carpenter

Our organization is currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on various civil construction projects, utilizing your expertise in formwork, framing, and finishing.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification, along with a minimum of 2 years' post-trade experience in construction carpentry. Experience in civil infrastructure, formwork, and concrete structures is highly regarded.
We are looking for someone who can read and interpret technical drawings and plans, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the successful applicant must hold a valid White Card (Construction Induction Card), current driver's license, and reliable transportation.
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $35.35 - $39.65 per hour for the first 8 hours, plus overtime, as well as a travel allowance and meal reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform formwork, framing, and finishing tasks for civil construction projects
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Install timber, plywood, and composite structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with work health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with site teams and supervisors to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years' post-trade experience in construction carpentry
- Experience in civil infrastructure, formwork, and concrete structures is highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation
