Landscape and Grounds Maintenance Professional

Job Summary:

  • Carry out a variety of tasks related to landscaping and gardening, including clearing vegetation with machines, trimming hedges and grasses, spraying weeds and plants as necessary, and general site cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clear areas of overgrown vegetation using machinery such as brush cutters and whipper snippers.
  2. Treat weeds and plants with herbicides as required.
  3. Operate vehicles to transport equipment and personnel across the work site.
  4. Undertake various duties relating to grounds maintenance.
  5. Participate in thorough clean-up operations at the end of each day or project.

Requirements:

  • A valid police clearance is mandatory.
  • A reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work sites.
  • Good physical fitness to withstand outdoor working conditions and pass regular health checks.
  • A neat and tidy appearance at all times.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and situations.
  • Previous experience working outdoors is advantageous but not essential.
